Job Description
We are looking for compassionate, reliable and dedicated Domiciliary Care Workers to join our care team, providing high-quality care and support to people in their own homes throughout Kenilworth and the surrounding areas.
As a Domiciliary Care Worker, you will support clients to remain independent and live safely and comfortably in their own homes. The role involves providing person-centred care that is tailored to each individual’s needs, preferences and choices.
Your responsibilities may include providing personal care, supporting with medication, preparing meals, assisting with household tasks and providing companionship. You will also be responsible for identifying and reporting any changes in a client’s health, wellbeing or circumstances.
You will be expected to work professionally and respectfully at all times, maintaining the dignity, privacy, independence and rights of every client.
Key Responsibilities
Provide person-centred care and support in clients’ own homes.
Assist clients with personal care, including washing, dressing, toileting and continence care where required.
Support clients with mobility and transfers in accordance with their care plans and moving and handling procedures.
Provide medication support in accordance with training, care plans and company procedures.
Prepare and serve meals and refreshments according to individual preferences and dietary requirements.
Provide companionship and emotional support.
Assist with light household duties, laundry and maintaining a safe and comfortable home environment.
Support clients to maintain their independence and participate in activities of their choice.
Follow individual care plans, risk assessments and support plans at all times.
Observe and report any changes in a client’s physical health, mental wellbeing, behaviour or circumstances.
Maintain accurate and timely care records and documentation.
Communicate effectively with clients, relatives, colleagues and other professionals.
Respect confidentiality and comply with data protection requirements.
Follow all company policies, procedures and safeguarding requirements.
Attend required training, supervision, meetings and competency assessments.
Work collaboratively with colleagues and other professionals involved in the client’s care.
Promote equality, diversity, dignity and respect in all aspects of care.
Report safeguarding concerns, accidents, incidents or other concerns promptly through the appropriate channels.

A satisfactory enhanced DBS check or willingness to undergo one.
Right to work in the UK.
Ability to travel between clients within the local area.
Desirable
Previous experience working in domiciliary care, residential care, supported living or another health and social care setting.
Relevant care qualification, such as an NVQ/QCF in Health and Social Care.
Experience supporting individuals with medication, personal care, dementia or mobility needs.
A full UK driving licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
