Support Worker (minimum 20 hours a week, permanent position)
Kirk Ella based. £14.25 per hour day rate. £13.40 per hour (waking night rate 10 hours). We’re looking for a caring, patient and active Support Worker to join our team and support a gentleman is in his 30s with severe learning disabilities, autism, and OCD. He lives in his own home and need support 24/7.
He enjoys swimming, and walking in the countryside and by the sea. He likes kayaking and paddle boarding, Ice skating and climbing, trampolining, swings and picking up litter. He watches a lot of Disney films and you tube clips.
He needs help with personal care, taking medications, making meals, getting a bath, and getting dressed. He has a car and it would be brilliant if you are a driver, (it’s an automatic) but it’s not essential.
He communicates with pictures and symbols and likes his days to be structured. When out and about you’ll always be working closely with another support worker.
Our shift patterns are usually 14 hours (day) 8 or 10 hours (day) or 10 hours (Night).
We are looking for someone who can commit to 20 hours per week plus optional extra hours. Some weekends and the occasional night shift included.
Supportive team. Full Training provided. DBS paid for.
5.6 weeks annual holiday pay, a pension and statutory sick pay.
